The regimental tie and striped tie enters the male wardrobe around the 20s’ of the last century. Its instant success is explained by the idea of simplicity and naturalness that suggests. The history of the regimental tie originated in military, like so many male leaders. In England, each regiment is distinguished by a particular tie on which the colors of the brigades, which constitute the regiment, are represented in the form of lines. For the British these ties can be worn only by members, or former members, of individual institutions, by finding misplaced use by those who do not belong to you. The regimental ties “Italian” have nothing to do with schools or military units, and are characterized by a variation in the intensity of the lines.
No regimental striped ties
There are striped ties that fall outside the general regimental: Lines said heraldic, i.e. horizontal or vertical lines that resemble those of their coats of arms. This type of tie fans appeared much later, in the ‘50s. There are rows and rows for different types of regimental ties. How to match a regimental tie
The pairing easier, and also the most classic, provides a sleeveless designs (but recalls in tone at least one of the colors of the tie) and a solid outfit together to get a harmonious outfit and lacking in contrast. In the case in which the gown is cast we will use a regimental tie with little accentuated pattern in terms of colors and sizes.
The regimental tie can also be worn with a striped shirt (never paired together for a striped dress), however, important to bear in mind a few rules. First of all is that the lines of the shirt and tie go in the opposite direction. If the tie has the thick lines will match a shirt with thin lines, and vice versa.
