The association Le Mani di Napoli chooses the Pitti Uomo 103 event to present itself to the national and non-national press with the conference „Il Ruolo dei Maestri”, held on 11 January at the Arbiter lounge at the Costruzioni Lorenesi. Between the city of Naples and that of Florence there are very important historical ties, first of all the auspicious marriage between Cosimo I (who will become the first Grand Duke of Florence) and the aristocratic and refined Eleonora da Toledo daughter of Don Pedro, Viceroy of Naples.
Franz Botre was present together with the president of the association, Giancarlo Maresca and the vice president Damiano Annunziato, who illustrated, to the large audience present in the room, the path started by the consortium that brings together master craftsmen of excellence in the men’s fashion chain. The main purpose of Le Mani di Napoli is to protect, enhance and transmit the knowledge of the arts that represent Naples in the eyes of the world. The mayor of Florence, Dario Nardella, was present and spoke of the „Toledo Pact”, stipulated in September with the mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, underlining the desire to start a
synergistic exchange of projects and a sharing of initiatives with the city of Naples, not only on art, culture and tourism, but also on fashion.
A prize in memory was dedicated to Cesare Attolini and Ciro Paone (Kiton), collected by their families.
The Le Mani di Napoli association promotes tailoring and the other arts related to beautiful dressing. Currently the members are 26 master craftsmen of excellence in the fashion sector divided into seven Chambers of Art: tailoring, shoemaking, trousers, shirts, ties, gloves and goldsmithing. Among these are associated: Calabrese 1924, Sartoria Formosa, Sartoria Cavaliere, Paolo Scafora, Sartoria Dal Cuore, Massimo Corrado Trousers, Sartoria Carfora, Alberto Nolano.
At 8.30 pm on the same day, the association’s gala dinner was held at the prestigious location of the Golden View, where with glasses of champagne, accompanied by a refined menu, toasts were raised to the future and to the new projects of Le Mani di Naples promoter of beauty and „know-how”.
